When we first thought of creating a website for our trip around the world in 2007, we never imagined that it would become so popular! As for today (end of 2011), in about four and a half years, more than 60.000 visitors used this website, viewing 165.000 pages (Page Impressions) and remaining altogether over 3.300 hours.
So far we have posted 360 pages of travel reports, accompanied by more than 4.300 pictures. And this keeps growing with every single trip.
Which countries get the most clicks? By far Bolivia, Venezuela, Colombia, Peru & Laos, followed by Easter Island, Cambodia, Brazil, China & Argentina… In 2011, Ethiopia turned out to be the major point of interest.
Interestingly, the parts upon our Travel Around The World (Preparing the Trip, Budget & Itinerary) are also some of the most popular bits.
Where do our fans come from? Almost 30% of the visitors come from the USA, followed by England, Canada and Australia. Our home countries, Austria & France only account for around 8% of the total traffic.
